Day 8

At 5 o'clock my alarm went off. Because it was Eastern all the communities would come together before sunrise in a field, and watch the sunrise together, after which they would have breakfast with everybody. Because I went with the tractor, I had to be in Ballytobin at half past 5, because everybody had to be at the field at 6 o'clock. So after having driven to the field, we made a big circle, with a smaller circle in it. In the smaller circle the ones who were ringing the bells were standing, together with their human music stands.
After we rang the bells and watched the sunrise, we had breakfast on the field (which was quite cold, but still very nice). Once everybody was finished with their breakfast they sang a few songs, to celebrate Eastern.
We were back around 8 o'clock in Monassa, after which I said goodbye to everyone because I had to catch a bus that would leave at 5 past 9. Andre and Renee drove me to Thomastown, and once I had said goodbye to them, I went on the bus, which would drive me to Dublin.
